Go to Post I think there are a ton of teams that would kill for one let alone three engineering mentors (especially one with the knowledge and experience that Rich Olivera has). - XaulZan11 [more]

254 points with a dead robot the whole match?

Is this the first time this year a two-robot (with a dead robot) alliance won?

254 points
for Newton, lets do the math:

There were 164 Teleop points curtsey of the twitter feed from only two robots.

164/3 = approx. 55 discs
(meaning something was scored not in the 3 point goal, but lets just say they all were because that gives the best case scenario to Newton)

Now divide that by 4 to get the amount of trips.
55/4 = approx. 14

Saying that there were only two robots operational to put that up that much, that means that each had to average 7 trips (28 discs) in two minutes AND make every shot. Also, remember sabotage needed at least the last 30 seconds to climb. Even though one of the robots on Newton has a pickup, they would have had to put up a LOT of discs, and this just doesn't add up to me.

Does anyone else think this is fishy or is it just me? But if it isn't, major props to Newton, that was amazing.

EDIT: They re-scored it and Galileo won. Math prevails. Actual score is Red: 200 Blue: 225
