Any insight on why they haven't played the cca winning video? The Holy Cows deserve it.

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
1477, however, definitely was not a comm issue. They have crazy LEDs that were off, so their robot was off, probably from a hit. Same for 1678, they got hit, then were off. Then they moved a bit, but then couldn't move.

I have no idea about 1678. 303 was determined to be disconnected from the field. And wow. 303 dead didn't even make a dent. |

303 did score in autonomous but seemed to lose power as it started to move.

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Is this the first time this year a two-robot (with a dead robot) alliance won?

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
303's battery was disconnected? If it happened before the match wouldn't they have noticed? 303 never moved, I don't see how it could have disconnected. I wonder what they have to say about this?

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
Apparently they shot in autonomous. Their auto consists of shooting+a piston on the ground that angles their whole robot upwards, so I assume during that motion it became disconnected.

254 points for Newton, lets do the math: There were 164 Teleop points curtsey of the twitter feed from only two robots. 164/3 = approx. 55 discs (meaning something was scored not in the 3 point goal, but lets just say they all were because that gives the best case scenario to Newton) Now divide that by 4 to get the amount of trips. 55/4 = approx. 14 Saying that there were only two robots operational to put that up that much, that means that each had to average 7 trips (28 discs) in two minutes AND make every shot. Also, remember sabotage needed at least the last 30 seconds to climb. Even though one of the robots on Newton has a pickup, they would have had to put up a LOT of discs, and this just doesn't add up to me. Does anyone else think this is fishy or is it just me? But if it isn't, major props to Newton, that was amazing. EDIT: They re-scored it and Galileo won. Math prevails. Actual score is Red: 200 Blue: 225 Last edited by dellagd : 27-04-2013 at 19:35. |

Re: Championships: Live Thoughts and Updates
I think a name change is in order. Change Curie to Tesla and see if that helps the curse.
