Extraordinary GP at the 2013 Championship

After three days of competition in St.Louis, I'm sure every attendee saw examples of gracious professionalism in use. I would like to use this thread as a place to retell some of the extraordinary stories of gracious professionalism that people have from the 2013 Championship Event.

I'd like to start off with a story from Galileo. In qualifier match 58, my team knew going against the power of 4334's FCS was going to be difficult. So, we contacted our alliance partner, rookie team 4627, to see if they had a blocking mechanism. Team 4627 did have a blocking mechanism that was 60 inches tall, but wanted to raise it to 84 inches during the match. The only thing holding them back from extending their blocker was their pneumatics system.

However, they had aid. Members of the Alberta Tech Alliance, team 4334, were assisting 4627 with the rookie team's pneumatics. 4334 members were ensuring the functionality of a mechanism which they knew was going to be used to stop 4334 from scoring. While our alliance lost match 58, FIRST and the spirit of gracious professionalism won. Kudos to 4334.

Please add your own stories from this event. They never cease to inspire.
