Trouble Animating Containers

We're having some trouble animating the containers and it's strange. Okay, here's kinda how it's set up - we have the camera panning down to the containers, and then we're gonna have the robot hit them, but for now I"m just practicing the 'container dispersion". Anyways, it's not working correctly, I want them to move say 45 frames into the scene, but they instantley start moving from frame 0. How do I get them to stay put until I want them to move?? Is there some way to fix them in place until I say okay move? Thanks!

Cool

I think you are having a keyframe problem. What you want to do is add a keyframe at frame 44 of the containers before they start to move then animate from there. Basically right now you have one at 0 and one at 45 where the 45 is the one with movement. You should have one at 0 one at 44 and one at 45. Hope this helps.

make sure you have "auto-key"on and you have the slider on frame 44 (or whatever).

you can also set it to frame 44 (or whatever) and the set a key with the "set key" button.

though i am probably coping what they are saying, what your experiencing is that law of "every action there is a reaction. Like sunny said, if you want something to stay in place, copy the key from 0 to 1, 44, and 45 if you have these all the same it will stay in place, and you can then move it after wards. Also on a side note watch how you do your camera, it is twice as bad because you have your camera and your camera target.
