Cool Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

International FRC teams attending US regional competitions typically spend ten times more money than U.S. teams to participate and are often first-time visitors to our country. They also have trouble shipping batteries and ordering spare parts!

Please take time to welcome and assist the International Teams attending your FRC Regional Competition!

To assist you, our team has created a website full of helpful resources. For a list of international teams attending your regional and detailed information about those teams go to FIRSTInternationalConnections.com

http://firstinternationalconnections.com/
http://firstinternationalconnections...s_by_state.pdf

You can submit a short essay about your international experience by 4/15/13 for a chance to win the 2013 International Collaboration Award!

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

You have the Lake Superior Regional listed under Wisconsin. Considering it was on the same arena floor as Northern Lights both on Week 2, I'm pretty sure it was in Minnesota. They are both in Duluth, MN.

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

Does the submission have to be about an experience with an international team from this season or could it be from 2012?

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

Our story began since september 2010 at Kettering Kickoff Robotics contest Michigan’s top high school robotics teams we meet our new friends With the FRC Team G.R.A.Y.L. Leviathons 1322.
We have some nice days our came from Israel with the Kids from Fenton.
Stell we have relation with the team 1322 and with their mentors.
We want to thank the team for their support to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills.
Our teams had fun at the apple orchard when the parents with the team invited us.
Many games we had together and trips.
So we have a very nice together and still we have this relation up today

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

It can be a continuation from previous years, but should include something from this year.

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

As member of a Mexican team I really appreciatte this wonderful display of Gracious Professionalism. And as you said, attending to U.S. regional is kind of expensive but it is complete worth it. Next year we are going to have our first Mexican regional, hope we can see some U.S. teams over here.

Re: Assisting and Welcoming International Teams

I know we have had teams from Australia, Brazil, Germany, England, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico attend the Orlando Regional.

I'll have to look back in our records to see if we have had teams from Canada, Mexico, Isreal, and Turkey.
