We have 3 toolboxes, all equipped exactly the same. The tools from each box all have the same color tape on them, so we know where they belong.
Maybe once a week I walk the shop and take all the tools not put away, and the team loses them for a few days. Not having tools in the middle of the build season is effective at convincing students to PUT STUFF BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT. Dangnabbit. |

In my team we organize some tools like this. I know that there are missing some tools but I took the photo when we were working
