Are you allowed to attach the operator interface to your own platform or do they supply one in the booth.

You should mount your Operator Interface on some sort of board so that you can carry it around. On the field, there will be a shelf to place the board on, but you need to have a board of some sort.

This is something that is up to you... Teams do it as more of a convenience factor. Also so the joysticks doing lift off the surface when you're using them.


It's not a required thing at all. You can use the surface they provide you, and just show up with your operator interface and control box/joysticks and radios. Or, some teams have used materials such as Lexan and Wood and mounted the joysticks to those (velcro, double-sided tape, etc).
