3D Wire Mesh
Hey all, I'm having some real trouble making the wire mesh for the playing field, it's the contraints in Inventor that are really getting me. If someone could possibly upload a piece of thier mesh onto the forums that would help greatly, or just tips will help too. Thank you!

Just draw a circle, and pattern it out to the appropriate length. Then select all of those, and extrude them all to the right length.. that is one side. Then start a new sketch, and change the plane. Draw another circle, pattern that out, and extrude them all. You should have a nice wire mesh model.

Inventor 5 or 6
If your using Inventor 5 or 6 for the playing field you could just make a very thin rectangle for the mesh, then apply a texture to it. There might even be a texture included that would look pretty good.

the easiest way to make wire mess won't be in inventor. It will be in 3ds max. You can model it Just make a box...and by adjusting the amount of height and width segments you'll get a believable effect... Add a material to that...(wireframe) it's at the top of the material editor..in a check box. You can modify the parameters in the extended parameters dialogue...it works out quite well.
