Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
We won't disclose our process.
Current season performance is a big part of it. But a robot that is a 1st or 2nd pick could be "ranked" higher than a robot that was a 15th or 16th pick that won a regional. We select teams and robots, not alliances. Indiana teams have a very limited preference, and it gets smaller every year. We will be posting in the next day or so. Right now we are over 68 confirmed and a few are still working on school board approval - but are staying on contact with us. |

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
Here is the final list of teams who have accepted the IRI invitation for 2013.
Teams have until June 30 to finalize payments and then we will publish the "final" listing soon after that. This looks to be an excellent field for competition! 1 11 MORT 2 16 Bomb Squad 3 20 The Rocketeers 4 27 Team RUSH 5 33 Killer Bees 6 45 TechnoKats Robotics Team 7 48 Delphi E.L.I.T.E. 8 51 Wings of Fire 9 67 The HOT Team 10 68 Truck Town Thunder 11 71 Team Hammond 12 111 Wildstang 13 116 Epsilon Delta 14 118 Robonauts 15 125 NUTRONS 16 141 WO-BOT 17 148 Robotwranglers 18 195 Cyber Knights 19 217 ThunderChickens 20 234 Cyber Blue 21 245 Adambots 22 303 TEST team 23 359 Hawaiian Kids 24 447 Team Roboto 25 461 Westside Boiler Invasion 26 469 Las Guerrillas 27 624 CRyptonite 28 696 Circuit Breakers 29 706 CYBERHAWKS 30 829 Digital Goats 31 862 Lightning Robotics 32 868 TechHOUNDS 33 967 Iron Lions 34 987 HIGHROLLERS 35 1024 Kil-A-Bytes 36 1114 Simbotics 37 1241 THEORY6 38 1310 RUNNYMEDE ROBOTICS 39 1334 Red Devels 40 1477 Texas Torque 41 1503 Spartonics 42 1538 The Holy Cows 43 1592 Bionic Tigers 44 1625 Winnovation 45 1640 Sab-BOT-age 46 1676 The Pascack PI-oneers 47 1732 Hilltoppers 48 1741 Red Alert Robotics 49 1902 Exploding Bacon 50 2054 Tech Vikes 51 2056 OP Robotics 52 2175 The Fighing Calculators 53 2252 The Mavericks 54 2337 EngiNERDS 55 2338 Gear It Forward 56 2451 PWNAGE 57 2468 Team Appreciate 58 2474 Excel 59 2590 Nemesis 60 2648 Infinite Loop 61 2826 Wave Robotics 62 3467 The Windham Windup 63 3476 Code Orange 64 3539 Byting Bulldogs 65 3641 The Flying Toasters 66 3847 Spectrum 67 3928 Team Neutrino 68 3947 The Last Crusaders 69 4039 MakeShift Robotics 70 4265 Wildbots 71 4334 Alberta Tech Alliance (ATA) 72 4814 United Robotics of London |

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
Looks like an extremely competitive event as always with a very solid list of New England contenders (125, 195, 2648, & 3467)!

I really wish 254 would go to IRI.

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
I really wish there was more west coast participation. Only five teams west of the Rockies! That includes zero from the PNW, even though a number of teams from that region had really good seasons.

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
399 was trapped in the unforgiving hands of district policies.. Hopefully we can make it there next year.

My exact thoughts too. It'll be interesting to see 359 from Hawaii. Counting down the days!

So do we. We had a logistics problem that prevented us from attending.

What happened to SWAT #1806? They were to be Kansas City's representative.

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
According to a team member earlier in the thread, their lead mentor was unable to attend and their school would not let them go without him.

Re: IRI Rules and Team Invitation List
I'm always amazed by how one little off-season in an Indiana highschool manages to attract almost all the best teams in the world.
Who do you think the most notable missing teams are? I'd say 1986, 254 and 1717. |
