Um, you added the GoPro, and then had issues. To accurately determine that the GoPro was the root cause of the issue, wouldn't it have been better to remove the GoPro and then see if the problem persists?

Further more, isn't the GoPro akin to a camcorder? So "interfacing" it to the robot is finding as much duct tape as you can; how would that mess up your targeting system?

As noted above, you did several things, any one of them could have been the solution.

We ran GoPros of many different models all season long without incident.
