Question:

Why did we not get to see The Holy Cows' Chairman’s video at Championship?

Answer:

Thanks for the question, Billfred.

Though I was not part of the decision making process, my understanding is the video was not shown because it was not a good fit with the timing and pacing of the closing ceremonies, at the point where the video would have normally been inserted – when the team is going on stage to get their trophy. I just started working with the folks responsible for the ‘show’ aspect of the closing ceremonies to understand how we can make sure the Chairman’s video gets included in some way from now on. I think it’s important for other teams to be able to see and hear what it takes to be a Chairman’s Award winning team, and I think the award winners themselves deserve this recognition.

Good question. If Chairman's is the most important award, then it most certainly should be included.

Thanks Billfred for asking the question and to Frank for posting the answer with the link to the video in it. I had not seen it before today, and watched it three times to try to get all of what they did.

Holy Cow is that team impressive.

I'm sure Frank has read your post and will work towards that inclusion for next season.
We were very happy that they showed our video during the 2012 kickoff after the video wasnt shown at CMP 2011.

I'm glad Frank recognized that this was an issue. He really is pretty cool.

It would be nice for FIRST to show the CCA videos both at Championships and then the following kickoff ( I think they used to do this when the videos were done by Paul post-win but I am unsure). This would allow rookie teams watching their first kickoff to be immediately exposed to things Chairman's teams accomplish.
