The Red Stick Rumble Needs You

Hi all,

We are a little over twenty days till the Red Stick Rumble and are looking for teams to come compete with us. At the moment we have fifteen teams registered but would like to have at least twenty-five. The event is on August 31st with August 30th being an optional practice day. Food will be provided in our concession stand as well as by the Baton Rouge Area Food Trucks. We will have demos from LSU, local area FLL teams, local area VEX and BEST robotics organizations, and much more.

For more information: http://www.redstickrumble.org.

Thanks!

Rah Cha Cha Ruckus started out with 15 teams it's first year (I had to personally call and beg 378 to loan out their robot to use at the event which we loaned out for 340 to use.
Sometimes it's best NOT too have a full field to deal with.
Right now your main goal is to cement a reputation with the FIRST Robotics community and establish your event as a destination to go to every year. You do that with consistent performance, good value and professional execution. Once you establish that the sky is the limit.
Up until a couple of years ago the Ruckus struggled to get 24 teams. Now we could have as many as 42 teams this year if things work out. So don't get discouraged if you don't achieve your goal of getting as many teams as you want. This is a learning experience for you to grow on so you can improve year after year after year,
