Change Network name of the d-link?

Our team is wanting to use our Ultimate Ascent robot and a test robot to train new drivers. When we use either one by itself, they work just fine. We aren't able to use both of them at the same time, because the IP addresses conflict. How can we change one of the d-links so that both of the robots can be controlled at the same time?

Re: Change Network name of the d-link?

Give your second robot a different team number, so they both don't think that they are 3160.
  1. Change the robot cRIO by reimaging it with a new team number and re-downloading your robot code.
  2. Change the team number on the new team number Driver Station .
  3. Use the robot radio utility to change the DLink to the new team number.

Re: Change Network name of the d-link?

So, after reimaging the crio, we've run into a problem changing the d-link settings. The manual tells us to type the IP address into the address bar after we've set the laptop IP address to the proper number, and the browser fails to bring us to the page we need.

Re: Change Network name of the d-link?

Have you tried the bridge configuration utility?

Re: Change Network name of the d-link?

What he said.
Here's the tool: 2013 FRC Bridge Configuration Utility

The most likely reason you can't reach the DLink webpage is that your laptop IP is incompatible with how the DLink IP/netmask is currently set.
The laptop IP has to change several times during the DLink setup.
The Utility takes care of all that by automatically changing the IPs for you.
The Utility includes directions if you have to reset the DLink.
