[FTC]: Samantha Power Supply Connector

I'm a FTC Team Mentor in Australia, we have changed across from using Tetrix to Matrix Construction systems. With Matrix, the Samantha Module is powered by a 9V battery in it's own battery case, which is causing many problems!!
I would like to make up a set of cables which use the Tamiya battery connectors and splice in the Samantha Module power cable.
My question is, what is the name of the Samantha Module Power Supply Connector type and where can I get replacements male connectors from?
Cheers, Mark

Re: [FTC]: Samantha Power Supply Connector

One of our mentors figured this out for us last year. This is a great spare to buy since it's inexpensive, and it's a REAL problem if you lose it.

Re: [FTC]: Samantha Power Supply Connector

You many want to speak with somebody at Matrix to confirm that this is an ok thing to do. I've used the matrix kit the last two summers here in San Antonio, Texas for summer robotics camps. We did a splice job and things have been ok for now. However, an early inquiry to Matrix engineers indicated that pairing the Samantha module to the main power input of the Matrix motor/servo controller could allow for an internal short that could cause both the Samantha module and the Matrix controller to go up in smoke.

I am not an electrical engineer and I don't understand or know the internals to both of these devices. I am only posting what I understand to be communicated to me previously on this very subject.

So check with the manufacturer so that you don't accidentally toast your electronics.
