Go to Post This isn't an engineering fair and demonstration, it's FRC. Defense is part of the game. You can't expect a good FRC team to just sit there and get clobbered by a full-court shooter; they're going to engineer a solution to the problem. - Kevin Sevcik [more]

Oregon Pre-Season Competitions: Girls' Gen, Rookie Rumble, BunnyBots

Thanks to all of you who have signed up for the pre-season FRC competitions in Oregon. We've posted the current status of registrations and payments at www.team1540.org/registrations. There you can see who's registered for Girls' Generation (Portland 10/19), Rookie Rumble (10/20), and BunnyBots (12/21).

We do have more room in these events right now but historically they have filled before the opening bell. If you want to be guaranteed a spot, register now at www.team1540.org/registrations. I know some of you are waiting for your funding to come in so if you can't pay the fees by the October events you can send me a check later in the fall when you get your money. Register now, however, so we know how many people to expect and you don't get wait listed. There's no charge for spectators. I'm sorry we had to charge for Girls' Generation and Rookie Rumble but the costs to truck a regulation FIRST field out are pretty extreme. This isn't a money maker for my team, we're just covering our costs.

Want more information on these events? Go to www.team1540.org.

For Bear Metal's Girls' Generation in Washington Oct 12th, go to http://tahomarobotics.org/girlsgeneration/ We're sharing the shipping costs with them to keep this affordable.
