FYI: Simplify Electrical Harness Design Webinar

FYI I get these emails occasionally and will forward a select few to the list. Some of these seminars are pretty informative.

In just 22 minutes, you'll see how to streamline your entire electrical harness development process using powerful SolidWorks design tools:
• Schematics that integrate directly into 3D CAD models
• Auto–routing of harnesses
• Realistic visualization of harnesses within 3D designs
• Design automation that drives electrical harness documentation

Re: FYI: Simplify Electrical Harness Design Webinar

Electrical Harness Design is included in SolidWorks supplied to all FIRST teams for 2013-2014 academic year.

Go to Tools, AddIns, Select Tools, SolidWorks Routing.

For tutorials on electrial harness for your FRC robot, got to www.solidworks.com>tutorials. Select Robot Tutorials>Unit 7 Electrical

In addition, Solidworks will provide a new software application, SolidWorks Electrical to any Robot team that makes a request.

SolidWorks Electrical provides single-line and multi-line schematics, layout capabilities and the 2D to 3D connection between the electronical and the mechanical systems.

Now is the time to learn new software applications. A Getting Started document and tutorials are built inside of SolidWorks Electrical 2D (schematic) and SolidWorks Electrical 3D (model).

For our electo-mechanical, mechatronics, control systems and electrical engineering students , please request SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical for your team through our sponsorship page, www.solidworks.com/StudentSponsorship. Marie
