"Rebooting CompactRIO device" takes forever.

I am trying to image a cRIO using a computer running Windows Vista, and I keep getting the "Rebooting CompactRIO device". I have been getting this message for about 30 minutes now. Is this normal? Is there a problem with my computer or cRIO? Please help!

Re: "Rebooting CompactRIO device" takes forever.

It's been a while since I've used the imaging tool, but I do know we'll need more information to help you.

First off, are you following the directions found here: http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/...ging-your-crio?

Are you attempting to image the cRIO over WiFi or an Ethernet connection? Imaging should only been done over an Ethernet connection in most cases.

Have you ensured communications with the cRIO (i.e. can you ping the cRIO)? Make sure the IP address/Subnet mask of the laptop is set properly.

Are you running the latest version of the FRC utilities?

I recall having a similar issue before, but I don't remember exactly the cause. I will have to look through my notes and see if I can find anything on it.

Edit: this appears to be a duplicate of this thread: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...hreadid=120835. Mods, perhaps the two should be merged?
