Before you cry, look at our situation. Fairfax County schools are closed due to snow. That means no robot meeting tonight. That also means that because they have used up all of their designated snow days already, the holiday on Feb. 17th, the last day before shipping the robot, has now been taken away from the students, which means we lose our all day robot meeting. And they are already talking about more snow next week, so they might lose yet another day.

Sigh. So don't cry about your good weather!

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you are short-sighted or narrow-minded, I was more thinking of "look at the bright side of life" for you. Maybe it sounded a little grouchy because they only gave us liberal leave today and since I only live 5 minutes away from where I work, I knew they wouldn't believe me if I said I couldn't make it in

You can enjoy your snow days! lol It was like 80 degrees in Redondo Beach on the weekend and on the lunch break for robotics we got to walk down to the beach! That is so cool in February cause there aren't very many people there because tourist season is over! So I LOVE CALIFORNIA!!!! But snow is cool too and it is good you got the day off. Back to school for me!

Ditto that, and I have the best of both worlds since the weather is really nice right now and I got to sleep in since I don't have classes today (or Monday). Ok, enough gloating...I do suffer during the week, I promise.

Bad weather sucks. It took me 25 minutes to get to school...and the school is only 7 miles away. There were dead cars all over the parking lot...so the few people with batteries and jumper-cables had about 2 cars to start (I had a battery and cables so I was stuck at school for a bit).

No big deal about missing robotics tonight...there's nothing for us kids to do :/
