torn between options

We actually have quite a few ideas and can't decide between them.
1) The Resonnant Squirrel (a big school inside joke)
2) Your tax dollars at work (FAK's idea)
3) Swiss Cheese: The Reckoning (last year and again this year, the robot gets the drill diet)
4) Maverick (our school mascot--which is SO lame).
5) Some sort of 8-Bit Theatre related name (we've already got the cosplay outfits).

The name we chose in December (team was only weeks old at the time) is "Chairman Mao bot". This name was part of losing theme, but won the name vote. Some of us on the team feel that this is not PC, especially when you think of what Mao the person did in China, and in this current world climate. It doesn't really seem to represent the spirit of FIRST either. I was thinking of suggesting a change to "Chairman Meow bot". Some of the students are pretty adamant to keep it as is.

We have a "Chairman Mao" on our team too. Not the robot though.

Oh yeah--and another potential name I just thought--butterfly (we keep calling them butterfly wings because we have 2 to stack and 2 to turn boxes upright before we stack). Any votes here for our teams' robot name?

Our robot is called "Uncomfortable Hunk Of Metal", and it seems to be living up to that name at this point!

Is that a Pulp Fiction reference?

The whole story is on a different thread, but yes, we thought of the name while watching Pulp Fiction in the van on the way home from the SoCal Regional last year.

Falcon V

Reminds me of that one episode of Doug (c'mon everyone used to watch Doug!) where he made the kite and they called it the Funny V.... anyways lol yup Falcon V it is.

I would like to call my team's robot the lemming, because it would follow things off a cliff, but it is not likely
