It's funny, this exact topic came up at the BPRC earlier this month. The emcee crew had a bunch of fun. Among the alternatives:
-eighty-two nine or eighty-six eight
-one fifty-two nine
-seven one
-1024 was in hexadecimal
-3176 was in roman numerals

After the first few rounds, the audience pretty much stopped paying attention.
