Sometimes teams apply to two grants that can only be used towards initial registration (I don't think you're supposed to be able to do this). If that team somehow gets both, then they probably have to turn one down. I want to say this sometimes happens with Boeing grant teams, but I'm not positive. I remember something along the lines of not being allowed to get both a Boeing and NASA grant when I was on 3929. Our Boeing grant was pretty much guaranteed due to the mentors we had, so a NASA grant would have to be turned down if we got one. Don't quote me on that though haha
