[FTC]: Anyone want to sell us a DC motor controller?

Hello fellow FTC teams,

With the shortage in supply of DC motor controllers from Lego/Tetrix, we are reaching out to the FTC community to see if there is any team that has any extra ones they are willing to sell. We really need two of these ASAP. We have two regional qualifiers coming up on the 15th of December and the 5th of January.

thanks

Re: [FTC]: Anyone want to sell us a DC motor controller?

My rookie team is in the same situation, although we have one for the drivetrain, but need one more for attachments. Would anyone have an extra one they could spare? It's kinda disappointing seeing Lego Education not being able to keep this critical item in stock for those teams who are desperately needing one.

Another thought I had was to try and use the Servo controller, by just using the positive and negative leads, and not having a yellow one. Any thoughts/comments on doing it this way?

You can't do that.

Firstly because servo output is only 5V, motor needs 12V, and secondly because I'm fairly positive that's in violation of some rule.

Re: [FTC]: Anyone want to sell us a DC motor controller?

Our team has either one or two used (I can't remember how many we wanted to save) TETRIX Motor Controllers available that we would be willing to sell. Send me a PM or pop an email our way at wiredftc@gmail.com if you still need one!
