Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
My schools;
Cornell, Northwestern, University of Michigan, University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, University of Maryland College Park, Rose-Hulman, and WPI. All big, cold, Northeast/Midwest colleges. Bring on that snow. |

Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
Deferred at MIT.
Applying regular to Stanford, Princeton, Cal, UCSB, Cal Poly SLO, Boulder, Olin. I think schools have grown tired of seeing FIRST on a extracurricular list. It seems, for better or worse, to look very pedestrian and not very impressive on college apps. |

Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
Not a HS student anymore but I am amazed at the number of folks applying to WPI. A bit curious if FRC's control system affiliation with them has any bearing on that decision?
As an RPI alumnus, surprised not to see as much enthusiasm for my alma mater. Both are good schools. WPI was sort of RPI's dark twin sibling across the state border whom we didn't interact with much. Ultimately, all that matters is what gives you the best opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills outside the classroom (ie internships!!!) |

Glad to see Waterloo on your list. The co-op program is fantastic. I'm finishing 2B Mech (last exam is today!).

Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
Which options are you looking into for U of T? "Core 8" engineering look pretty similar to each other, however Engineering Science is a beast of its own.

Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
If anyone has any questions about Purdue University and its FIRST Program, feel free to shoot me a PM. I had four great years there, working with a lot of great people.

Double check your admission tracker, several people I know (myself included) have already received their decisions.

Re: FIRST Class of 2014, Where are we going?
I have yet to see Ferris State University show up, if anyone has questions about Ferris I can be of some help, and if you want to stay with helping robotics teams, I helped found a FTC and FRC team this year in big Rapids, and we will gladly take more mentors
