Re: [FTC]: Help With AutoDesk Inventor 2012 ?

Yes, you will need to modify the .ipt file directly. Creating your own Tetrix axle file wouldn't be a bad idea so you can more quickly and elegantly modify it the next time a similar situation comes up in future designs.

This appears in the "productivity" menu of the Assembly tab in my installation. Thanks for pointing that out - that's a new one for me.

Re: [FTC]: Help With AutoDesk Inventor 2012 ?

Ok, thanks @nemo and @mozrila.

Now our CAD of our bot is complete. We'd like to create a 360deg "flyover" view of the CAD bot. Is this possible to do in Inventor 2012? We have found tutorials on how to "explode" all the parts out and have them go back together, but none that show how to do a "flyover". Any ideas? Or not possible in Inventor 2012?

thanks again for the help!

I have never used 2012, but in 2014 you would do it by using Inventor Studio and rendering an animation. Inventor Studio is in the environments tab.

Re: [FTC]: Help With AutoDesk Inventor 2012 ?

Look into using any of the following:

autodesk 3DS max
autodesk Maya
Autodesk Showcase
Autodesk Inventor Publisher

We use Showcase and Publisher. I am also the designer and animator of these
