Joystick refnum name

We added another joystick by copying and pasting then we tried to name them each one to joystick 1 & joystick 2.
For joystick 1 for the get button we changed its refnum name to joystick 1 and then for joystick 2 we changed its refnum name to joystick 2 but when we recheck it we found the refnum name for joystick 1 changed itself to joystick 2 right after we changed the name for joystick 2's refnum name.
We're assuming its because we copied and pasted, can someone explain a fix? Thanks!

Re: Joystick refnum name

It sounds like you opened the Joystick Refnum Get function and changed the default refnum name inside it. Don't do that. Unless you have a very special and very important reason to make changes to the library's VIs, leave their contents alone.

Instead, just wire a constant string to the refnum name input of the VI, and change the string to be whatever name you want it to be.
