Re: Sheet Metal Manual Brake Press

Hi All
Sorry I am late, as i read Dave's request, I would recommend a box & pan brake, something like this; http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INPDFF?P...MITEM=130-5234
i have purchased both of these machines and have found them to be of very good value

as for gage thickness the 10 gage brake is best, but I have worked 5/32 with the bench top, a lot has to do with settings, one of the best "how To's" is http://www.americanmachinetools.com/...hand_brake.htm
Have Fun!
Geo.

Re: Sheet Metal Manual Brake Press

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I have a bit busy and haven't move forward with this yet. However, judging from the initial cost and specs of Baileigh I was leading towards the new dies for our existing RG 103.

But, now that Andrew and George gave me two more vendors I will see if I will contact them for a quote.

Roy, thank you for the chart. Made it easy to learn and explain to my boss what we need.

George, that second link has lots of useful information. I have bookmarked it and suggest anyone looking to learn about sheet metal looks into it.

Thank you!
