My day is never complete until I have worked with a power tool!

Well we only have a total of 21 people on our team, only 17 really do work. For the females...well it just one female student and me. I started the team and going to MSOE, I kind of firgured I might be the only female mentor since the ratio of girls are just over 10%.

I know on wildstang-team 111 there are about a dozen to 20 girls on the team, but that's out of 65 to 80 students. And I believe there were 3 or four female mentors. Last year, two of the females "kind of helped" out with the electrical and two females (including me) were on the mechincal.

I feel bad for 247. I personal hate when girls sit around, and all the guys get a bad impression that girls never do anything. I put in 40 to 45 hours each week on the robot last year (more then most mentor did) and still since a few girl sit around and they still said it "all our female do nothing on our team". And that hurts to hear that when you have the torn hands and only a hour or two of sleep to keep you barely standing. I guess I just hope that some people wouldn't stereotype all the females in one category. I agree lots of female don't work very hard, but when you get a female going on a project it's hard to keep them away from it.

Don't forget there is also the team of all girls (well..minus a few males), but none the less.

I can't belive that many girls aren't involved because it's hella fun.
Well at least on my team because everyone is having fun as we work hard. we have to work hard because are group is too small to not have an important role. But then again i'm from a rookie team and we just got our robot to actually move but thats actually our goal so were happy.
