No Disabled-Robot Rules?

My team found two issues that aren't addressed in the Manual:

If a robot breaks/disables while in possession of a ball, how will the game continue?

If the ball gets stuck over the truss, how will the game continue?

Thanks.

First off, VERY good questions, and I would like to ask you to take them to Q&A ASAP.

Unofficially, the first one would probably be the alliance partners beating on the robot to free the ball. The second one will be more difficult--unforeseen situation--but I would hope that there's some provision for the ball to be freed OR for another ball to come in. I don't see either, though, so until Q&A responds I'm going to assume that you're SOL.

Re: No Disabled-Robot Rules?

if it gets stuck on a truss, you might be able to knock it off if you have a "goalie bot"- a robot with a stick on top in the 6inch vertical cylinder.

Course you'll get a foul for going over 5 feet, and a technical if you have to repeat.
