Elon Musk loves FIRST Robotics!!

Hello all,
Elon Musk, (Tesla, Paypal, SpaceX) just said on CNN that he looks for people to work with who have creativity and know how to try really hard. He said he looks for "evidence of exceptional ability", and then specifically mentioned FIRST robotics!!! He said its not just grades (although that's an obvious way to show creativity). He looks for other signs of exceptional creativity like "winning a FIRST robotics competition"!!!.

So, If you want to work with people and companies the like of SpaceX and Tesla, your all on the right track!!!

Just thought it was cool....

Re: Elon Musk loves FIRST Robotics!!

Awesome. If you find a link, please share.

SpaceX is unique in that they select interns who are FIRST students graduating from high school for internships two years in advance.

Re: Elon Musk loves FIRST Robotics!!

I watched Fared Zakaria's GPS today. Here is the CNN link where you can listen to Elon Musk CEO of Space-x and CPA (Chief Product Architect) of Tesla:

Elon Musk said more than good grades he looks for innovation and creativity when hiring. Has this person created something when they were young? Have they won a FRIST robotics competition?
