Direction Of Traffic – ROBOTS must proceed around the TRACK in a counter-clockwise

break the plane of the line by moving in the clockwise direction. A PENALTY will be
assigned for each infraction.
One could argue that their robot actually never moved in a clockwise direction, thus not violating the rule.

Every rotation of their arm including the robot entering the zone clockwise from their current position. The CW and CCW references were relative to the field, meaning entering hte zone CW from their current position incurred a G22 penalty.

Regardless, this discussion is not something that really needs to be brought up again. While 190 in 2008 is one of those "infamous" robots (along with 1519 in 2008, 68 in 2003, etc.), the topics here have been hashed out repeatedly and the rulings are no longer particularly relevant.

Re: FRC190's Robot in 30 Minutes

In all seriousness, this was supposed to be a fun post to get a few laughs. As the Styx song goes "[we've] got too much time on [our] hands"

We know it's certainly not legal for the 2014 because of a variety of reasons.

Additionally, the legality of our 2008 robot does not really matter. It's been 6 years! No one except our team, the referees at our events, and the GDC has all the information on exactly what happened, so those are the only folks with any real authority to comment on the matter. It was what it was, it is what it is, so let's all worry about the 2014 game!

My bad... Didn't mean to bring up old an thread.

It was pretty funny seeing 190 tangled in that rats nest at BAE that year.

I see only one rule broken...

You cannot extent into the goal (Outside of the playing field) to make the score. Seen here, this is broken
