This doen't exactly answer your question, but just roll carpet, one similar to the ones on the playing field. That way, the carpet will get damaged, and not the court. I'd say that if you were playing on the concrete, high-traction wheels will give high traction and will not be abrasive. Mecanum wheels, on the other hand, will probably damage the court because of the sharp parts, and actually get damaged themselves because of the misformed areas on the court

Problem with carpet is that A) We don't have any & B) Even if we did, we would have no where to store it.
As far as wheels go, I think we are going to go with a roughtop wheel from Vex as the team decided they want traction this year. If the 4" roughtop wheels are too hard on the floor, I was looking at either a VersaWheel, an AndyMark rubber wheel, or Colson caster. |
