Vim with WindRiver

Hello all,

I've used Vim quite a bit in other programming projects, and I'm trying to figure out how I can use it with WindRiver for robotics programming. I've read that there is some sort of Vi emulation layer for WindRiver, but I haven't been able to find it. I've also been unable to install Eclipse Vim plugins on WindRiver. Does anyone have experience using Vim with WindRiver? I appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Re: Vim with WindRiver

If you want, you can edit the files in vim through the command line, outside of WindRiver. When you want to compile, you can refresh the files in WindRiver (F5 or right click->Refresh) and then compile it. I haven't actually tested this since I don't use WindRiver, but that's how I would have done it in Eclipse, so it might work here.

This has worked for me.
