If made of PVC, maybe PVC pipe cement would work

P.S., tried t bicycle tire patch today, no luck

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

I would rather try a pvc patch kit, than PVC cement. The cement might dissolve too much

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

We used a bicycle repair kit and so far it is holding up. Very small hole.

Pool liners are made of vinyl. The glue and patch material used will stick to PVC but it is the expanding of the ball that might make it come apart. I would put duck tape over the patch or gorilla tape to hold it in place. Again what do you have to lose.

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

Was just thinking. If you can get a pool patch to work then put a second larger one over the first one then the tape. Also always make your patch with rounded edges even if it is a long rip cut an oval shape.

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

And again one more. A hot glue gun. I have been successful using one to repair an air mattress. Cut patch out of vinyl put thru glue on the ball then put on the patch. Double it up if it looks like it will hold and then tape.
Good luck.

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

We had a hole with about an inch diameter.
Tried lots of stuff till it was fixed - what ended up working was a regular rubber pool patch, with some rubber glue (nothing special, the one that came in the KOP should do). Also - we put a piece of rubber on the inside of the hole, being somewhat larger than the hole itself - so the pressure inside isnt all put on the tear, but more spread...
We did it on week one, and the ball is ok ever since...

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

You can buy replacement bladders from Sportogo. $24.95 each plus shipping. I bought 3 replacement bladders as soon as we got our first damaged ball. This will put you back in business if you are having trouble getting official FIRST balls.

Re: help repairing 2014 game pieces

Shoe goo, then duct tape, then another layer of shoe goo, has been working for us since day 2.

You might try to use a pool of inflatable patch. Or a bicycle patch.

We tried a bicycle patch, it didn't work.
