We use an uninsulated flag terminal (i.e. right angle) and open it a little with a pair of needle nose pliers. Insert the wire and crimp tight. We solder the wire to the terminal and then solder the terminal to the motor terminal. Strain relief can not be overly done on these motors. Of course, heat shrink over the connection is always implied.
