Dear CD,
Has anyone come up with a simple bumper mounting idea for the AMU Chassis? Most posts on CD assume the C-Channel frame design which doesn't lend itself much to this year's chassis. We are planning on using 2 halves, a C-based design with about a one inch gap in the middle of the front and back. How are you going to attach to that thin frame member on the front and back which is about 1/8 inch thick with one inch centered holes? |

Re: Bumper mounting ideas for 2014 AMU Chassis
Have you seen this? http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2700.htm
Frankly, my team hasn't quite figured out how we're going to mount the bumpers, but I figure if AndyMark is recommending a method, it's worth looking into! |

Re: Bumper mounting ideas for 2014 AMU Chassis
My team is making an 80/20 superstructure, so we are making L brackets out of a 1" x 1" L stock to directly connect our bumpers to the superstructure that way if we need to get to anything in the drive base was can actually fully remove the entire drive base.
