Refusal to make it safe, or to disable a mechanism for a match so they can play and then work on a fix, I don't think I've ever heard of.

I understand that they'll be allowed to play minus the offending mechanism, it's just going to be a very upsetting day for both the team and the inspectors if they have to disallow something.
