2013 labview missing desired features(which 2012 has)
Some of the stuff I was using in the 2012 version are no longer available and I would like to use them. For example the 2D compass plot. When I attempted to copy-paste the VIs over it tells me it's not valid for the target. I imagine this is just one of the missing features and i'll run into others. Anyway to fix this or am I SOL until it gets implemented?

Are you sure you ran that plot on the Robot last year?
It is available in both 2012 and 2013 when targeted for a windows computer. It is not available in both 2012 and 2013 when targeted for LabVIEW RT. That is what the message is telling you. |

Re: 2013 labview missing desired features(which 2012 has)
Ah I see. No I didn't run it on the robot I was just using it to visualize data for debugging purposes and this plot is perfect for my needs. I suppose the confusion came from how the vi was apparently being located/run. I made a test vi with it but when i tried to use that plot on the robot code I got that invalid target message. I see now I'll have to be more careful about things like that then. Bummer that it isn't implemented, doesn't seem like anything special just a fancy drawing

Re: 2013 labview missing desired features(which 2012 has)
It is what is called an XControl. It is a control with a diagram, and it uses UI events and other features that don't really make sense on RT. You can certainly use it on your dashboard.
