Jags + BDC-Comm: Solid yellow the first time, blinking every consecutive attempt.

We are trying to configure jaguars from previous years using BDC-Comm. The first attempt is always a success:

1: Power on robot (with terminator, and 6P6C-DB9 connected to laptop)
2: Open BDC-Comm
3: Connection successfully established. We control the motors and assign a new address.

However, if I disconnect from that jag, (to move onto the next one, say) and try to connect to it again sometime later, the LED stays blinking yellow and refuses to go steady. I can't establish communications with the Jag, and if I try to assign a new address, the LED never blinks green.

Whether trying to talk to a single jag, or a full chain, we still have the same issue.

We are having this issue with jags on two different robots. All are black jags w/ firmware version 107. The DB9 adapter is plugged into the correct port on the jag.

Variables tested:
-Different terminators
-Different 6P6C adapters (also terminated, 100R, green to red)
-Different jags
-Different laptops
-Different versions of BDC-Comm (TI and Vex Pro)
-Cycled robot power between attempts.

I presume we're doing something wrong. As far as I can tell we are following the instructions to the tee as laid out in the Jaguar User Manual posted on the FRC resources page.

My thanks for any ideas.

Well we think we resolved the issue tonight. TI recommends a specific baud rate for BDC-Comm. 115k, I think. We had to set this manually in the USB-RS232 adapter settings on the laptop.

Out of the six, however, one Jaguar is still exhibiting this annoying behavior.
