Labview Vision Tracking

For this years game were using vision tracking for our robot in autonomous. We've constantly been working on this for at least a week. We need the the program to run and know what it's looking at. We get the image to come up but we cant get the program to realize it's what we want. Is there any possible ideas of what we might be doing wrong.

Re: Labview Vision Tracking

You've stated that you are working hard, but haven't stated what you are doing.

Have you read through the white paper? Have you had success with the example code and tutorial? What works and what doesn't?

Details help us know where you need help?

Re: Labview Vision Tracking

We have gotten the video feed to show up on the PC dashboard. We can't figure out how to actually track the tape for the dynamic code. We have tried multiple example codes but have found no success, and have also tried the tutorial in bedded in Labview and had little success.

Re: Labview Vision Tracking

The 2014 Vision example works with provided images and camera. This will help you to debug and understand how the code works. For example, you can click and draw a line on the image. This will use a statistical approach to compute the HSV color ranges. You can also practice with manual adjustments and determine how they affect the thresholding.

I believe it is Tutorial 8 that describes how to integrate the example into either the dashboard or the cRIO code.

Which of these have you tried, and what didn't work?

Question Re: Labview Vision Tracking

Hello,
I have the starter kit it for ball tracking of robotic, in which it uses motor to move and follow the ball. However, if i want to modify it, say, from robotic to ar drone to autonomously track the ball and follow it, can i use the same algorithm for its motor and apply it to drone as well?..

Re: Labview Vision Tracking

The folks at Tufts University have used similar things to control the AR Drone. They were tracking faces, but the rest may be helpful to you.
