Cannot setup M1013 Camera

Hello everyone.

Earlier this week, we received our brand new M1013 camera. However, we cannot set it up. I followed the WPI setup guide for the camera, but I cannot get the green light in the "Setup Axis Camera tool" to illuminate.

My IP address is set to 192.168.0.5 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

I have plugged in the power supply, and I have tried both an ethernet and a crossover cable, all to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cannot setup M1013 Camera

What happens if you point a browser to the camera URL?

I'm not sure why you'd need to, but you may try a hard reset of the camera and then try the tool. I believe this is accomplished by holding reset for ten or fifteen seconds while powering up.

Re: Cannot setup M1013 Camera

I have just taken the M1013 camera out of the box. I powered it up and the front status led ring (orange/green) does not light up. Could it be a bad camera?

Re: Cannot setup M1013 Camera

Does the power indicator on the back light up green? If not, perhaps your power supply is faulty. Measure the voltage on its connector and verify that there is +5 on the center contact relative to 0 on the barrel.
