Question Help With FRC LabView arm code?

I'm from a rookie team, and we're building an arm with an encoder, and we can't figure out what to do to program the arm. We're going to use a separate joystick to control the arm. I think that we are using 2 PG71 motors and a Jaguar motor controller. We might also use a limit switch. If you could provide some sample code, it would be great. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Help With FRC LabView arm code?

Here is a thread where I asked a similar question a week ago. If you have a encoder on the arm, you'd want to use a PID loop to allow you to be able to move the arm to a specific angle. The thread has details about that. If you just want to control it with a joystick, then all you'd have to do is wire a joystick axis to a motor set output block.
