The way double solenoids work is that one side turns on while the other side simultaneously turns off with only one side of the solenoid should light up at a time.
So for a normal code response you should see the solenoid module LEDs
for button 2 alternate lighting the 0 & 1 LEDs (the first and second LEDs). One is on while the other is off.
So when you start you should probably see just the 1&3 LEDs light up, but when you press and continue to hold buttons 2&3, then you should see the 0&2 LEDs light up while 1&3 go off.

I'm not sure what you are referring to with "pneumatic bumper" vs "solenoid bumper" unless you are just talking about different model years. The breakout you are using has 2-pin connections?
