Pneumatic Issue
Our NI9472 pneumatic card is reading 12 volts along all relay connections. We cannot get it to go down to zero in order to fire the piston. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks.

Also, have you read the pneumatics manual? |

Re: Pneumatic Issue
With the very tiny bit of information I can get from your description, I'm going out on a limb here and assuming something about your wiring. Do you perhaps have the solenoid wired with one side to battery and the other side to the output of the Solenoid Breakout? That'll always give you battery voltage on the output, because the NI 9472 is a Digital Sourcing Module. It can't pull a 12 volt signal to ground; all its outputs can do is either provide 12 volts or be essentially disconnected.
You're supposed to connect the solenoid between the two pins -- signal and ground -- of the channel on the Solenoid Breakout. I apologize if I have assumed something which is not the case. |

Re: Pneumatic Issue
Thank you for your help. We figured out the card had gone bad.
