Successful Ball Repair

1) Obtain Vinyl Pool repair kit at local hardware. We used my waterbed repair kit, but Vinyl Pool repair kit is same stuff.
2) Cut patch large, I went 1/2" past tear in all directions (Tear was 3/4" gash).
3) Apply copious amounts of glue on both sides - patch and ball.
4) Press patch on well, add weight to lay bladder flat (No ridges under either!) I guess I could have clamped - one can't ever have too many Jorgensen Clamps! I placed a layer of plastic bag to prevent glue from sticking to weight.

5) Leave to dry. Glue says 24 hours, I left it about 4 hours.
[NOTE: gash seemed to 'open' a bit (did not close together as nicely as I would like) but patch was secure.]

6) Obtain Shoe Goo and Bumper material. I cut a 4" diameter piece.
7) Apply Shoe Goo to bumper material, press and roll well to distribute Shoe Goo.
8) Weigh or Clamp for many hours.

9) ta da, holding air just fine. Told the kids to quit sitting on the ball, but seems to be working just fine. No muss, no fuss.
