Mounting solenoids

We have several Festo double solenoids. They each have 2 little holes in them that look like they're trying to be for mounting. Are tiny little machine screws the way to go or would it be OK to just use Velcro?

Any other thoughts on how to mount them?

Re: Mounting solenoids

The holes fit #4 screws, which aren't too uncommon.

Actually drilling corresponding holes in the thing you're mounting to and using a couple zip ties should do just fine. We've never had any issues zip tying solenoids to the robot before.

The screws do look a little nicer

Re: Mounting solenoids

We stacked 5 together. Had to get some threaded rod (4-40) from the local hardware store. You may find it easier with connections if you put a small spacer/washer between the solenoids.
