Re: Robot names and Team mottos

Since we changed our name to Dragon Robotics a few years ago, all of our robots have been named after dragons. This year, we chose "Maleficent," upsetting many of those who had pushed for "Shyvana". They have therefore taken to calling the robot "Not Shyvana," much to our head mentor's chagrin. They made a label for it and stuck it on the practice bot. Our mentor promptly removed it, but a student recovered it and stuck it on one of our batteries, so the battery was called "Not Shyvana" until our mentor removed that one, too. We recently bought a new tool cart, so some have begun suggesting that we name the cart "Not Shyvana".

Our team motto is "Make it pretty," the logic being that if something doesn't look well-put-together, it's probably not. Some of my teammates make fun of the motto and suggest putting ribbons and lace on the robot.
