You were totally over 18" as well as 18'! Looks like a great trajectory.

Re: Shooting from over 18' out

can you hit from say 14 feet to that? is that shot good from 18' to what short range? can you vary the shot?

no matter the answers, it's a wicked shot.

Re: Shooting from over 18' out

It's good to see your shooter working well. I was in the pits all day, building a robot.

We finally got ours to behave today, with two mentors and some PVC pipe to adjust the angle. They claim it will get in the goal any distance from 5 feet to 20 feet, but they didn't have the goal set up. We'll see.

In terms of power, that looks pretty much exactly like our (4464's) pneumatic shooter; we're using four 1.5'' bore, 8'' stroke cylinders on ours, with the standard festo solenoids and a downstream tank for each cylinder.

In tests, we've been able to score from 33 ft.

Being able to shoot from 33 feet out is nice and all, but considering you can only score from, at max, 27 feet out...

Re: Shooting from over 18' out

Looks very nice, but are you guys able to shoot from different distances? Because if you have that power when you're up closer, it will go way over. Food for thought.

842s robot can shoot with whatever power they program it to shoot with. Makes for a nice shot into the top of low goal.
