Smile Springs?

We are wondering if we can use some springs that we have that didn't come in the kit of parts. We haven't modified them and are planning to use them as is. We know the rules say that we can use any springs as long as they're not modified but just want to make sure.

Please Respond ASAP

Thanks!

Springs

The only official answer is through the Official FIRST Website, but do keep in mind the rule that limits the total amount of stored energy in springs at the start of the match. I think it is 20 foot-pounds.

There is a wonderful assortment of gas springs available in the MSC Catalog also. The neat thing about gas springs are they are almost constant force also.
