Team 1466's Reveal Video

Hey guys! Just wanted to show you all our reveal video for our 2014 robot Babou!! Our main focus this year was creating a really simple robot which would be able to assist teammates easily while not necessarily being a strong robot individually.

Babou Reveal Video

Here are some quick specs:

Drivetrain:
-8WD with Vex pro traction wheels in the center and W Versawheels on the corners
-4 Cim 2 mini-Cim drivetrain with VexPro BallShifters with speeds of 6.5 f/s and 18 f/s
-1/10 in drop center so when tipped we get 6 wheels of contact instead of 4 but can still spin effectively when balenced
-Low center of gravity

Intake:
-4' (or " not sure) PVC roller with black shelf padding then AndyMark green tread in a spiral pattern
-Powered by 2 VersaGeraboxes and Bag motors
-Actuates with 2 Pneumatic Pistons
-Can grab a ball and carry it around without using the motors
-Able to push ball out of robot and pass to teammates and score in low goal

Shooter:
-Focus on creating an easy to catch shot and consistent goal scorer
-Shoots from 3-8 feet out so we wont miss
-Powered by 3 (1 1/16 bore) 5" draw pistons and a lot of surgical tubing
-Can shoot ball into the top of the low goal as well

This is definitely our most attractive robot to date and all of the video was taken without several of the more attractive features of the robot. (Matte black ABS plates on the sides and green LEDs). Also, we have a blocker/catcher in our lab which we will attach at competition. Feel free to ask any questions!!
Thanks!!!
