Team 3015 presents: The Golden Snitch

Team 3015 is proud to present you with this year's Ranger Robotics robot: The Golden Snitch. The catapult was CNC machined by our own students.

Very cool looking robot, the catapult looks awesome, the students did a good job with that. The video is very well done as well.

How are you releasing the catapult?

How are you releasing the catapult

Thank you very much! We are using a winch purchased from AndyMark and we release it by shifting the gearbox into neutral. This is done by a piston contacting the dog gear on the side. We did have some troubles with the release because it seemed to have a lot of tension from the cord unwinding so quickly.
